Everything You Need To Know About Xiaomi’s Latest Laptop To Be Launched In India : Mi Notebook

Last week, Xiaomi teased the release of the company’s first ever laptop to be launched in India. As confirmed by Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain on Monday, the launch is set to take place on 11 June.

The executive of Xiaomi India claims that the laptop will be India-exclusive and has been made keeping the Indian customers in mind. He also confirms that it will be a Mi Notebook and not RedmiBook.

As revealed by Jain, the soon-to-hit Indian markets, Mi Notebook is a brand new laptop and the launch will take place on the slated date.

The Mi Notebook will mark the entry of the Xiaomi brand into the laptop world in India. The device has already received BIS certification. Considering Xiaomi’s unique pricing strategy, Mi Notebook will offer a cut-throat competition to it’s rivals.

Mi Notebook is available in China with a price label of RMB 3,999, which is approximately equal to Rs 40,130 in India. It is possible that the brand launches the device with a similar price tag in India.

The launch event will begin at 12pm (noon) IST and will be streamed across Xiaomi’s all social media platforms and Mi.com too. The launch will take place in online mode only.

Mi Notebook comes with a 13.3-inch full HD display with an 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Powered by Intel’s 10th generation Core processors and matched with the Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU, the device also has an excellent battery life as it is backed 40WHr battery. The company claims that the 40WHr battery offers a battery life of 11 hours on a single charge. The company also claims that the device can charge to 50 per cent within 35 minutes.

The laptop comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD.

The device sports a chiclet-style keyboard and comes with DTS surround sound support.

The decision to launch laptop in this pandemic situation can be considered a wise one, as most of us are stuck with our laptops all day long.
