The playstation5 is here at last, a reason to smile in 2020! Weather you picked yours up on release or you’re waiting to see if it’s worth it you’re probably wondering which games would be the best to play in this next gen console. So here we are ranking some of the ps5 games for you to help you make a sound decision. The games below are new or recently released PlayStation-exclusive titles or games that are part of the PS Plus Collection.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales – 8/10
The story line and game play is more refreshing and compelling compared to its predecessor Marvel’s Spider man. If you’re getting a PS5, this is the game to definitely add to the cart and experience the true features of the new PS5.
The Last of Us Remastered Part 1 – 9/10 & Part II – 8/10
Sony and Naughty Dog have created high standards for storytelling in video games with this series. The PS3 title was remastered for the PS4 and is now a part of the PS Plus Collection. It might be one of the best video games ever made and definitely a must-play on the PS5. Also, you’re going to want to play this game first before playing the sequel, The Last of Us Part II which if you loved The Last of Us, you might not really dig the sequel. It proved to be a lot more isolated. Personally, I felt it’s still a great game, but a lot darker and will surely shoot up your anxiety.
Godfall – 6/10
Decent generic visuals, thrilling soundtracks with a lot of action the developers could have worked on going all in on the console experience but rather tried to aim higher and have failed, as the repetitive mission design and enemies quickly begin to drag.
Demon’s Souls – 9/10
A fantastic remake of the spiritual predecessor to Dark Souls, with incredibly good graphics and levels with great designs that is just as good as later games in the series. It’s also the only major launch game that is a PlayStation 5 exclusive
Astro’s Playroom – 7/10
This game comes free with the console but despite its short length and lack of challenge it’s a great little game and a perfect introduction to using the new Dual Sense controller.
Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition 9.5/10
The original game updated with better graphics, including optional ray-tracing, the ability to play as Vergil in his own campaign, and a bunch of new game modes and options with an interesting narrative.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – 7/10
Not the best of the Call Of Duties series because of development problems long before the coronavirus but the next gen version does have better graphics and performance.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – 7/10
The fastest-selling Assassin’s Creed ever is pretty much more of the same, but the Vikings theme and British landscapes look especially impressive on the new PlayStation console
Dirt 5 – 6/10
It’s much less of a simulation than you might expect, which won’t please some hardcore fans, but as a driving game this makes some of the best use of the Dual Sense controller so far.
Dead By Daylight – 6/10
The popular online horror game has been quick to make the jump to PlayStation 5 but while it has a lot of DLC in tow the overall experience still gets repetitive
