Tech start-up Matter to launch electric vehicles, energy solutions in India

Recently news came that technology startup Matter, which is based in Ahmedabad, will launch electric vehicles and a range of energy solutions in 2021.

Mohan Lalbhai is the founder of Matter who is also the CEO of the Lalbhai family in Gujrat. Its chief operating officer is Arun Pratap Singh. This company was established in 2019 with the aim of manufacturing electric vehicles for the Indian market.

The company is planning to establish itself in the country’s main cities like  New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow, and Chandigarh. Company will do all these things in phase with a proper offer and planning. The company is a great example of made in India because its parts are manufactured locally in the country.


The Matter has its production unit in Ahmedabad

The Matter has its production unit in Ahmedabad, which can manufacture 60000 electric motorcycles per year, which will increase subsequently over time. The company has planned to launch its vehicle in the fourth quarter of 2021. The company is also in the production of battery packages for consumption in the house.

The CEO of Matter has said that we are trying to give the best quality and service to the customers. He also said that they are aiming for the target of 1 billion by 2025. He also stated that the vehicles are mainly designed for Indian customers, and all the parts of the vehicle are manufactured in the plant of Ahmedabad.

Apart from vehicles, they will also offer energy products for the home as well as for industrial purposes. Their energy product includes solar home lighting systems, home inverters, UPS systems as well as non-compete EV products such as battery packs and many more things.

The company is planning to begin its retail service in April 2021 with two means that is B1B and B2C.

In the beginning, the company will start with an energy solution called Matter Energy and after that analyzing the success rate, they will launch the electric vehicle.
