Realme Reveals Launch Date of Upcoming Watch S series Smartwatch, To compete with MI Watch Revolve

Realme which has been teasing its upcoming watch for quite some time now has finally set a launch date for its upcoming launches of smartwatches and earphones. The Company is set to launch its Watch S, Watch S Pro and the Buds Air Pro Master Edition.

The company has been talking about a bunch of IoT products for the Indian Market since a few weeks now and now there is a lunch date. The smartwatches Realme Watch S and Watch S pro will be launching on the 23rd of December 2020 in India which has been revealed on its social media accounts. Not just watches but also the Realme Buds Air Pro Master Edition will be launched at this event. 

Realme has been at its best in delivering new IoT products this year with a lot of wireless earphones, smart home solutions and accessories. Now it wants to venture into the wearable category with the new Realme Watch S series. Realme did launch a smartwatch earlier this year but it was more like a fitness tracker instead of a smartwatch. But now with the launch of the Watch S series, things could get much smarter.

Features of Realme Watch S series

The Realme Watch S series is being compared to the likes of Amazfit Verge Lite and other similar watches. The watch features a fancy 1.3-inch circular display and offers a resolution of 360 x 360 and with a pixel density of 600 nits.

Watch S series has the auto-brightness sensor feature which is quite rare in most of the affordable smartwatches that are available. The watch comes with Gorilla Glass 3 for the display which offers further protection. You can also customize your watch faces as the Watch S runs on its proprietary OS from Realme. You could also unlock your phone and reject calls and also see all your notifications on the face of the watch.

The watch is equipped with PPG sensor which is used in measuring heart rate. Not just your heart rate but also has sensors which can monitor your blood oxygen levels. The watch offers 16 sports modes which include Indoor run, outdoor cycle, Cricket, Stationary Bike, Strength Training, Yoga and more. The watch will also help you monitor your sleep patterns. 

The battery on this smartwatch by Realme can provide battery backup up to 15 days on a single charge as it is equipped with a 390 mAh battery. For a full charge Realme officially states it will take up to 2 hours. Furthermore, Watch S series also comes with IP68 dust and water certification. 

The Realme Watch S Pro is apparently the more premium option available. However not much is known about the Watch S pro and all we could find out is that it has an AMOLED display and a metallic design. The Pro version is all set to compete with the Mi Watch Revolve and will also support GPS tracking.
